Pumpkin Spice Latte

I love Fall! One of my favorite reasons is pumpkin spice lattes.

One of the things I don’t like is all the sugar that normally accompanies a pumpkin spice latte. So what can I do except make it fresh at home?

I like to start with two tablespoons fresh pumpkin puree that I’ve made by baking a pie pumpkin. They’re smaller than the average carving pumpkin and naturally sweeter too.

To the pumpkin puree I add a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice mix, and half a teaspoon of turmeric. The turmeric spice has a sweet flavor to it and is a perfect addition to pumpkin pie spice mix.

Next, I add a cup of brewed coffee, and a quarter cup steamed non-dairy milk. You can use whatever your preference is for milk. I like to use oat milk because it is more of a creamy consistency than almond milk, but both will work!

You can also add a teaspoon of alcohol-free vanilla extract to give it that nice, warm, vanilla essence.

If you like your coffee a little on the sweet side, you can add some stevia or Lakanto (which is a natural sugar substitute that can be used one-to-one for baking or straight up like sugar but won’t raise your blood sugar).

Blend everything in your blender and pour yourself a cup of hot, tasty, ambition!
