Nobody asks to join the cancer club. It’s just something we’re thrown into. Some of us younger than others. Dana Donofree was diagnosed at 27 years old and not only lost her breasts. She lost the ability to find bras that fit her new body and that made her feel good and feminine. That’s why she started AnaOno Intimates, to help you bring your sexy back!

Isn’t that how most businesses get started… by filling a need?

Dana found herself searching far and wide across the globe for a beautiful bra to hide her mastectomy scars but there were none. Oh sure, there were tons of bras with underwire and pushup pads (neither of which work after reconstruction), but there weren’t pretty bras and lingerie without under-wires. Many of the bras in the early days were training bras or sports bras. Neither of which bring out a feeling of femininity and desirability.

Dana saw an opportunity to fill the void and more importantly, make a difference.

She had the skills from her career in fashion design and she went to work. She thought it would be just a few bras sold on Etsy…

As it turns out, her bras are sold in more countries than not. But the real work is in the advocacy and activism. Advocating for real women, young women, who are losing a real part of their body and self image.

“Very few women can look at themselves in the mirror and say,
“I love you just the way you are” back to themselves.”

Dana Donofree

AnaOno bras give you more than something to cover up the scars. They give you your sense of femininity back. And when you look good, you feel better. And when a woman feels good, she can change the world. And this one is.
